Our
Commitment
The
David Turner Lymphoma Foundation, Inc., also known as "Big Dave’s Big
Gift," is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. We are
dedicated to promoting cancer awareness and
prevention by providing youth with opportunities that engender healthful
and
productive living and assisting in funding hematological stem cell
transplants
for adolescents/ young adults demonstrating financial need.
Transplant Assistance
In
November
2008, David Turner, unable to afford a stem cell transplant, quickly
relapsed
and was then unable to receive one. As a result, Big Dave’s focus turned
to
helping others. Funds generated for David’s transplant were donated
to the National Transplant Assistance Fund. As a result of
David’s efforts and the generosity of others, NTAF is now in
the process of distributing $25,000 in challenge grants to individuals
demonstrating financial need.
