Hello Mrs. Turner. I am a friend of your sons from 17th Street. We worked together for a year. I want to be honest with you... Your son was a good friend of mine and he really knew how to make people happy. There were times that I would share with him about my personal relationship with God and how he works in my life. At that time when we were working together I was going through a lot and your son was there to listen and share with me advice and things that helped me get through those things. We were always able to talk about a lot of different things as friends. I feel like God used him as a light in my life to show him self to me. I feel like Dave was a light not only to me personally but to soo many other people. Him and I stopped talking as much since I left 17th Street but kept in touch here and there. The last time I saw him was at the Firkin benefit and I knew that the cancer was sucking the life out of him but through everything he was sooo strong and still had the desire to make other people happy. I want to thankyou for having such an awesome boy. I really wish I could have had the chance to share what I just said with you to him.

Suzanne, my sympathies to you. I am so sad that you all have had to weather this terrible storm in your lives. From his writings, I can see that I would have loved meeting and knowing your son. Please communicate with me when you are up to it. I am in Greensboro. I also am writing and doing public speaking.
